A WELCOME LETTER FROM THE HEAD TEACHER
I have pleasure in welcoming you and your child to Dringhouses Primary School. This website will give you an insight into the school and how we go about caring for, and educating, our pupils. We include information on the school, its aims, curriculum, activities and an insight into some areas of school life. In 2008-9 we are anticipating the introduction of our new VLP (Virtual Learning Platform) which will replace this website. You will therefore find less information in here than we have had in previous years. Do please contact us if there is something you would like to know more about and you cannot find the information you need here.
At Dringhouses Primary School we seek to establish a school which provides, for all its pupils, a happy and secure environment in which to learn, where every child is recognised as an individual of great value.
We feel strongly that parents should have confidence in the school and that this comes from knowing and understanding what is happening within it. It is important that mutual understanding and trust should be the basis of our shared responsibility and the success of this school depends upon it.
We would be delighted to answer any questions you may have regarding the school or your child's education.
